Business Analyst @ From July 2013 to Present (2 years 6 months) Antwerp Area, BelgiumProject consultant / manager @ From January 2011 to May 2013 (2 years 5 months) Data & Functional analyst / Data warehouse development @ The objective of this project was to design a data warehouse system which would provide each of the 19 CPAS of the Brussels region with the statistical analyses on poverty that they wished to perform.
In order to achieve that, I worked on the analysis of the data from one CPAS, defined and applied the ETL processes and finally created the Data warehouse system. Eventually, BO reporting was used in order to create the necessary reports.
Tools: Data & functional analysis, SQL Data modeler, SQL Developer, Enterprise architect From September 2010 to January 2011 (5 months) Consultant @ From November 2008 to January 2011 (2 years 3 months) Business/Data analyst & Database manager @ The objective of this project was to establish a detailed analysis of various data sources, including the mapping rules between them, in order to bring them together in a new database system and be able to obtain Adjusted Gross Margins per product (& per meter on the shelves..)
It should be mentioned that the tool allows the creation of multiple sorts of reporting, thus assisting category managers with their negotiations with suppliers.
Tools: MS Excel + Access + Visio, Microstrategy, functional analysis, database conception and design From March 2010 to August 2010 (6 months) Database conception and design @ The project was initiated by the EuropeAid section of the European Commission, with the objective of creating an easy-to-use and effective database system for the encoding of information. The data itself is all the projects that are being monitored by the European Commission.
Technique : Functional analysis of the client's needs, design and implementation of the database (crisis situation: the dabatase was created in +- 1 month and a half because of the urgent aspect of the projet).
Tools: Functional analysis, MS ACCESS From January 2010 to February 2010 (2 months) Data analyst @ Project description: Main project involved data analysis support and advice to an external legal team, working on the merger of MSD and Schering-Plough. Secondary tasks included working on six sigma templates and reports, as well as market research and analysis for the purpose of establishing models and simulations on certain business issues of the pharmaceutical sector
My; Technique: Use MSD's internal tool (which can provide information on the pharmaceutical sector on a worldwide scale) in order to offer data analysis and support to the external legal team. Secondary tasks required market research, an understanding of the pharmaceutical sector and of certain business issues within the sector, familiarity with certain six sigma processes etc.

My Role: Administrating, analysing and improving the existing database, as well as assessing the needs for -and creating- the new databases
Technique: Analyse the existing system, improve it where needed and create new functionalities depending on the client's needs. A considerable effort went into creating user-friendly interfaces through Access forms, allowing functionalities such as custom-made pivot tables, exporting-importing data, user management etc.
Environment : MICROSOFT ACCESS AND EXCEL From November 2008 to July 2009 (9 months) Database management @ My Role: Provide general I.T. assistance and day-to-day management of the clients, sales and warehousing databases.
Technique: Updating the company's Access databases on a daily basis, assisting colleagues with their various technological needs
