In 2012 I recruited an experienced Operations Manager to implement a company-wide process framework and optimise our operations which resulted in improved KPIs due to optimisation, savings and improved communication. I received training in all aspects of process work including identifying & creating, documenting, implementing, reviewing and adjusting processes and procedures within a business. In the same year after opening 2 properties, I started bringing facility management services in house rather than using external suppliers which provided more flexibility and allowed to further improve the processes with the help of our Operations Manager. I also participated in the procurement & implementation of an online server-hosted Room Management System. As the Master User, I was in charge of setting the system up to match the needs and structure of our business and coordinating communications between the Accommodation, Finance and IT teams to complete the project within a tight time frame and on budget. During my time in this position I have gained Process Management skills and managed several projects including completion and handover of our new properties. I also expanded my management skill-set to include Personnel Management, Facility & Procurement Management and was managing a portfolio of 409 student bedrooms and studios in 5 properties and a team of 8 in September 2012.
