💼 Past Experience

Ian Schick has been a D.A. at the University of Missouri since 2004, where he also held an internship in law. After three years of legal practice in a law firm, Schick joined Draft Builders in October 2007 where he has ever since been a CEO. He is also the Founder and CEO of Specifio. Previously, Schick was a Project Advisor at CodeX, where he led the development of machinery generated legal documents. Schick is also a Fellow at CodeX, where he leads the work on creating artificial intelligence-powered legal documents.

🎓 Education

Ian Schick's educational background and work readiness otherwise would be quite different had he not gone to Colorado School of Mines. Upon graduation, Schick had the opportunity to take a Nano-scale Optics position at the Colorado School of Mines. This experience would quickly change Schick's career path, as he soon becameelliired in Nano-scale Optics and began working with companies in the industry. After two years of working in the Nano-scale Optics industry, Schick landed his first patent application. This experience not only introduced him to the world of intellectual property, but also showed him that he had the ability to work on a wide range of patents. Schick's next stop was the University of San Diego School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 2007. Since earning his Juris Doctor degree, Schick has continue to make a impact in the industry. He currently occupies a post as a judge for the International Patent Court and is also working on a book on patent law.
