💼 Past Experience

Hugue decided to pursue a career in business because he saw a need in the African market and believed that he had the skills and experience to fill the position. Hugue had a background in Economics from the University of Bath where he received a degree in Economics in 2015. He then completed coursework in Public Policy from the University of Bristol in 2015, where he received a degree in Public Policy for Management.In his interim role at the University of Bristol, he held a teaching assistant role in Corporate Finance and Investment Appraisal. In this role, he assists students in completing projects within the Financial Markets class and teaches them about Equities and Markets.After completing his coursework at the University of Bristol, Hugue went on to work as a Business Developer at ABiQ Business Intelligence DWC-LLC. He was there for two years, during which time he developed and oversaw a number of projects.In November 2018, Hugue left ABiQ Business Intelligence to start his own business, Nkafu Policy Institute, whichka focuses on economic dialogue and policy development in the African region.From November 2018 to June 2019, Hugue was the Director at the Nkafu Policy Institute. Hugue Nkoutchou’s education has Zoroastrian background and upbringing. He was born in Johannesburg, South Africa to a Zoroastrian family. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Bath in January 2012, where he received his PhD in Management Finance in January 2017. At university, Hugue mainly concentrated on his doctoral studies, but also secured a Master’s degree cum laude (with distinction) in Financial Management from the University of Bath in January 2009. During his undergraduate studies, Hugue also studied Business Planning (Insurance and Law) at the University of Johannesburg. After completing his undergraduate studies, Hugue moved to the United States of America to pursue his PhD.
