💼 Past Experience

Hongze Zhao's work experiences in the past have included technical work in the field of network problems, as well as aiding in the development and implementation of mobile apps. Zhao has a degree in software engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has previous experience working at Microsoft Research and Facebook. He first started working at Nuro Hongze Zhao in May 2015 as a Research Intern, where he analyzed enterprise network failure reports and constructed knowledge bases for faster failure diagnosis and recovery. He also built a big data pipeline to collect network layer signals from user requests for threat evaluation and built machine learning models to classify malicious users with network layer signals. He interned at Microsoft Research Asia from July 2012 to March 2013, where he wrote a router software to support an experimental ECMP routing protocol. He then started working at Airbnb from February 2016 to May 2018, where he built new features on iOS with Obj-C, Swift and React Native.
