After using numerous different environments in 10+ years (serious) hobby / academic / professional experience, I won't fear the next one. I could do anything as long as it can resonate with below mentioned peculiarities.
My spare time is of much value to me. It is put to good use on any creative outlet, unrestricted by specific building materials. Then there's that other "flaw" - the nerdy one. Star Trek, (making) puzzles, unravelling the universe.
Entering high school, these started to combine as I discovered programming. As big bonus I learned you could mess around all you want without making an actual mess. Not to mention the lack of raw materials needed. The moment someone bought me "DIV Games Studio", however, boy was I no good. Wherever the compiler said "waiting for 'end if'", I simply put "end if" right there. A "program" was one big function. Nevertheless there it was, my first game title: "Battlefield 1.0 Tank", a top-down 4 player free-for-all leaving your keyboard in pieces.
Currently, this hobbyist's game engine of choice is fabulous Unity 3D.
Also having always loved electronics, a modest knowledge base is growing with each occasional Arduino project, for ex. decorative LED thingies / fancy car DRL, tiny robots, a proofer controller + overkill display.
Software developer & consultant @ I am the developer of NENA Sim firmware (PIC16, MPLAB), server (Python, Linux, Raspberry Pi) and GUI (Qt, C++) software. Occasionally this involves some electronics tinkering.
Other tasks include providing IT consultancy, and assisting with LAPX, VBOX, and other Epona projects whenever necessary. From September 2015 to Present (4 months) Rotterdam Area, NetherlandsSoftware developer @ Digitalization used to tailor make professional websites, but switched mostly to the field of robotics (automation).
