I have had the privilege to work on the very first LFLRV (#4401) and see it through to commission. Effort was concentrated at TTC Hillcrest and TTC Roncesvalles stations and involved carrying out mechanical and electrical design modifications based on the test runs of the vehicles. Part of my responsibility involved the implementation of repairs as part of the vehicle's warranty coverage as well as the implementation of factory recommended design mods.

📖 Summary
Product Introduction (Contract) @ My presence at Bombardier Transportation primarily had to do with supporting the commissioning of the Low Floor Light Rail Vehicle (LFLRVs) ordered by the Toronto Transit Commission to replace its ageing fleet of street cars. From May 2014 to September 2014 (5 months) Toronto, Canada AreaEngineering Co-op @ My Co-op experience at PFM marked my very first entry into the industry. I was delighted and impressed with the level of responsibility assigned to me at the company. My work involved using 3D Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD to create models and drawings for flow packaging systems. Specifying materials and methods conducive to design, manufacturing and cost efficiency was part of my responsibility. This was important for the company given the fact that it is a relatively small enterprise. My role also involved modelling/designing concepts for upgrading existing flow pack systems and creating installation manuals for the customer as well as for the production floor. From May 2012 to August 2012 (4 months) Automotive Service Technician - Apprentice @ I started working at this shop during my late high school years and throughout my first two university years - part time during school and full time during holidays. Though not completely related to my profession. It was one of the most fun experiences I have had and made me come across some amazing people. As for my role, my responsibilities reflected that of a typical mechanic. Though oil changes and brakes were the most frequent of tasks. Component swaps such as engines, transmissions, rads, waterpump, alternators etc were also common on my to-do list. The shop primarily focused on supporting fleets of taxicabs and hence gave me quite a bit of experience with Impalas, Caravans and Crown Victorias. Private cars of various makes also came by though not as frequent.
