💼 Past Experience

Born and raised in So. Cal., Harry McCracken started his writing career in the early 1990s as a Technology Editor at Fast Company in San Francisco. After a year as Features/News Editor, he moved to InfoWorld Direct in September 1992 as Technical/Reviews Editor. I worked with Harry in his capacity as Technical Editor at Fast Company and we developed some of the most successful technological products of the early 1990s, such as the Micromax T616 and the Netscape Navigator 6.5. Harry then moved to Computer Buying World in April 1991 as Technology Editor. I transferred to Fast Company from InfoWorld and worked in that position from September 1992 to January 1994 in the Greater Boston Area. I also worked at Technologizer from June 2008 to February 2012 as Founder/Editor. In my role at Technologizer, I developed and emitted the first quarterly e-journal on the uses of technology in marketing.]] I also worked at CNET Networks from September 2011 to January 2012 as Contributing Editor and at AllBusiness.com from June 2011 to January 2012 as Cofounder.Harry also started his own web development and engineering consultancy, Twtrcon, in 2009. He was senior editor at CorpTech from April 1989 to April 1991, and VP/Editor in Chief at PC World from September 2004 to June 2008. I joined Harry as Executive Editor at PC World in April 2000 and served in that position until March 2002. At PC World, I developed the first quarterly e-journal on the uses of technology in marketing, which was published under the name “PC World Times”. I also developed the strategy, vision and editorial content for the website. While at PC World, I also became the first senior editor in charge of theFeatures Division.I left PC World in March 2002 to join Technologizer as Founder/Editor. I developed and emitted the first quarterly e-journal on the uses of technology in marketing. From June 2008 to February 2012, I was also a Contributing Editor at CNET Networks.In the summer of 2011, I was also a columnist for AllBusiness.com.Harry McCracken has been married to his wife,Tricia, since 1999. They have two children.

Harry then went on to earn a Master of Arts degree from Emerson College in 2007. In addition, he was also responsible for the publication of the magazine's news and features sections.McCracken joined TIME inSeptember 1992 as Technical/Reviews Editor. He was with the publication from April 1991 to September 1992 and from September 1992 to January 1994 as Technology Editor.
