1. Enhanced Storage Policy Based Management framework, the control plane of Software-Defined Storage, within VMware’s vSphere platform by designing and building the infrastructure to support legacy datastores (NFS, VMFS) in addition to the support for vSAN, vVol.
2. Prototyped first internal vSphere Storage APIs for Storage Awareness (VASA) provider which supports VMware’s VMware Managed Object Design Language (VMODL) APIs. From June 2014 to August 2014 (3 months) Intel Innovation Project Student @ Intel & Shanghai Jiao Tong University Innovation Project: OpenCL Accelerated Face Detection
1. Leveraged existing detection algorithms and chose Viola-Jones’ improved by Rainer Lienhart.
2. Implemented Viola-Jones’ algorithm using OpenCL for GPU parallel computation.
3. Accelerated detection speed by 10 times and won Silver Performance Award (top 3 out of 50). From May 2013 to August 2013 (4 months) Shanghai City, ChinaSoftware Engineering Intern @ 1. Developed DSP inference algorithms for Quartus II, addressed and fixed a release blocker bug.
2. Extended Regression Test Infrastructure by adding subroutines, using Perl.
3. Enhanced Quartus II Reporting to support DSP, floating point DSP and UIB counting. From May 2012 to August 2012 (4 months)
