📖 Summary
Social Secretary @ As Social Secretary I have been tasked with effectively organising, communicating and delegating all social activities to badminton team players and social players, and overseeing the welfare of all members. I play a significant role in helping to maintain moral, positive group dynamics and helping to widen membership in social badminton and Team Surrey. I work closely with the President, VP and Treasurer in other areas such as finance, sponsorship, team coaching and society promotion. Skills developed in this role involve efficient communication (including means of social media), thorough organisation, time management and strategic thinking. From May 2015 to Present (6 months) Badminton SocietyGraphic Designer @ Currently I offer my graphic design skills on peopleperhour.com, a freelancing website. My work is predominantly created with software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, however I am also involved in website design and web development. I also have experience in creating full length illustrated animations using Adobe Flash and Adobe After Effects. From February 2013 to Present (2 years 9 months) Intern Mobile App Developer @ I completed a summer internship at Bias Development Ltd as a Mobile App Developer. Responsibilities included playing significant roles in the designing and building of advanced applications for the iOS platform, simultaneously bug fixing and improving application performance where appropriate. I collaborated with a cross-functional team to carry out tasks to ship out various projects to clients and the App Store. I was also involved in the unit-testing of projects for robustness, usability and reliability. I adapted to new development environments and quickly learnt new technologies such as various iOS frameworks, libraries and APIs. From July 2015 to October 2015 (4 months) ReigateCast Member @ Working at the Disney Store has given me valuable intercommunicational skills in a professional environment. I attained experience in socialising with children of all ages and interacting with any other customers, helping those with any needs or any issues that arise. I am able to take on a range of responsibilities such as customer serving, till service, delivery and restocking. Furthermore, I have been highlighted as a top sales performer at the store, with a large percentage of my customer sales being accompanied by additional products I sold. I work here part time alongside completing my A Levels. From September 2013 to September 2014 (1 year 1 month) Student Technical Intern @ Following success in the 2014 Network Rail CouldITBU competition, I was awarded the opportunity to to take on a paid internship at Network Rail for two weeks, mainly in the GBS (Global Business Services) sector. I was involved in a wide range of fields such as Project Management, Finance and Mobile App Development. In a team of the other successful candidates, we also created a promotional video based on our own experiences for next year's CouldITBU competition. From August 2014 to August 2014 (1 month) Milton Keynes, United KingdomTechnical Support @ I took on various responsibilities in the management of a family business, parentpages.co.uk. I assisted in the technical side of the website, which was created with WordPress. I gained experience in databases, using MySQL and PHP for database development. I played a strong role in the marketing side of the company - publication design (with Adobe Software) and social media (e.g Twitter, Facebook and use of SEO tools). From January 2013 to September 2013 (9 months) Teaching Assistant @ This job involved various responsibilities. I communicated with a wide range of people - helping both young and older children with Maths or English work and also corresponding with the parents, dealing with any issues or queries about the Kumon centre. I was able to transfer my Maths and English skills to this working environment, in turn helping young children by explaining any problems or questions. Alongside this, I also marked the children's work and recorded data and other notes into their record books. From March 2013 to August 2013 (6 months) Kindergarten Teacher @ I immersed myself in German with a week's work experience at a small Kindergarten in Leer, located in the north of Germany. German is a passion of mine and communicating with both German children and the German teachers allowed me to experience a total change in work environment, aswell as interact with young children, meet inspiring and hard working people and boost my confidence in colloquial German language.
