Hi, my name is Hakan Coskun and I am a Professor of Architecture at the University of Technology Dresden, Germany. I joined the faculty in autumn of 2013. I am also the co-founder and managing director of MTC Consultants, a consulting business, which I started in 2003. MTC Consultants is a subsidiary of the university and it offers consulting services in the fields of Architecture, Planning, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Real Estate, Commercial Real Estate, Wholesale and Retail Properties, Municipal Services, tendering and architectural services. MTC Consultants action is to help its clients achieve success through providing them with the best possible advice and services. I am passionate about my work and I am very excited about the future of MTC Consultants. Our clients are some of the most important and prestigious organizations in the world and I believe there is a huge potential for MTC Consultants to grow and succeed.Istarted my work in the corporate world at SUEZGroup, the Spanish arm of Suez Energy. After a few years in this position, I was later appointed CEO of Suez Land Services, the business that serviced water resources in Spain. I led this business for four years, during which time we grew from a weak start to a well-managed and Coprorated company, with over 45 employees. I also served as President and CEO of Suez City Council, during which time responsibility for the overall strategic operation of the city was handed over to a City Cabinet. guiding and developing city services and ensuring the follow-through of city plans.In my time at Suez, I also had the opportunity to work on a few large projects, such as the installation of the new electrical grid in Spain, the remodeling of the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, and the construction of the Horta tunnel. These projects were big, complicated, and required a lot of teamwork and Cooperation between many different companies and individuals in order to achieve success. In each case, I learned a lot and I was very impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the employees involved. I also acquired a good understanding of local conditions, preferable in order to be able to make the best decisions for the city.After five years as CEO of Suez City Council, I left Suez in order to take up a position as CEO of a new company, Modellbau & Architektur. MTC is a subsidiary of the University of Technology Dresden and I am very excited about this opportunity. My main job responsibilities will be providing advisory services to our clients in the field of Architekturmodellbau. As a CEO at MTC, I will also have a great deal of involvement in the development of our company as well as in the implementation of our plans.I am very lucky to have the opportunity to work at MTC, where I am able to share my experience with other professors and students. I believe that MTC is a very exciting company with a lot of potential and I am very excited about the future of MTC Consultants.
