As a trained computer engineer with a passion for software development and an entrepreneurial mindset, I seek to make direct and measurable impacts on the global community. In this endeavor, I also hope to empower others with the ability to solve education, environment, and health-related issues.
We’ve all underutilized our potential. There’s serious work to be done to bring down the inequality and injustice in the world. I’m hoping to help people through the scalability and power of various software technologies. Let’s see how far we can go!
Software Engineer (Edison Leadership Program) @ The Edison Engineering Development Program is a rotational program within GE that allows young engineers to pursue leadership training opportunities, a Master's education, and four distinct experiences/rotations with four different teams. Currently, I'm working as a User Experience (UX) Engineer. I'm responsible for improving the usability of our product offerings by engaging with customers and various stakeholders to identify ways in which our application can become easier to use. While assessing and performing user experience enhancements, I'm also responsible for the engineering and implementation of the front-end for our web application. On a daily basis, I write HTML5, JavaScript code, and CSS3 using Angular.js (a JavaScript framework that works with HTML5), and Less.js (this compiles to CSS3). Through my weekly coursework at GE, I'm also writing both Java and SQL to improve my mastery of coding practices and software.
For my second rotation I have worked with Sencha Touch for mobile application development, Siesta for testing, and Sass for styling. Overall, I'm currently developing an area of expertise in front-end web/mobile development. However I am still actively growing my knowledge with back-end web services and database technologies. From July 2014 to Present (1 year 4 months) Founder and Advisor @ Started a student organization of 500 students that has developed 17 unique mobile apps that help the missions and operations of 17 different nonprofit organizations. Worked one-on-one with every student, and created 70 leadership positions in Education, Project Management, Business Development, Marketing, Operations, and Client Relations. By offering real-world experience to students, they’re voluntarily developing high-quality software for some of the world’s most amazing community service organizations.
• EDUCATION: Taught Needs Analysis, Design, and iOS/Android development to students with no prior experience through workshops, labs, and lectures.
• PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Inspired 17 team leaders to fulfill their role in motivating their teams to design and develop excellent apps for nonprofits, in spite of the fact that everyone had limited app-development knowledge.
• BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Facilitated access to several labs/rooms by networking with deans and administrators. Wrote funding proposals to raise $15,000 for conferences, textbooks, essential software, and 10 MacBooks.
• MARKETING: Created a Marketing Toolkit, and established distribution channels within BU, reaching thousands of students at various colleges through traditional approaches, Facebook/Twitter, and other social media.
• OPERATIONS: Maintained the interest of 500 student members, 17 teams/projects, and attended/created 20 meetings per week. Hosted award-winning events like the GAI App Fair and the Global Appathon (hackathon).
• CLIENT RELATIONS: Acquired clients and obtained requirements from 17 nonprofit for mobile app projects. Established communication with each nonprofit’s upper management, and ensured customer satisfaction.
Each bullet point is now its own committee, where each has between 10 and 30 specialized student leaders. Aside from leadership positions, most students are simply members/volunteers who are learning how to build these apps for nonprofits. From August 2012 to Present (3 years 3 months) Boston UniversityStudent Partner @ Served as a technological ambassador for the BU campus, by hosting Windows 8 app development workshops and other fun product-boosting events. From September 2013 to May 2014 (9 months) Boston, MAB.S. in Computer Engineering @ Programming Languages/Tools used here: C#, C++, Java, C, Objective-C, Verilog,
MATLAB, SQL, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, PHP, iOS & Android Development, Git, SVN,
various IDE’s, project management tools, and bug tracking tools.

Psychology, Physical Fitness, and Business of Technology Innovation From September 2010 to May 2014 (3 years 9 months) Boston, MassachusettsSoftware Engineering Intern @ Built RESTful web services in Java that interfaced with OData to filter/read in specified metadata from the Hadoop Distribution File System through a PostgreSQL database. From May 2013 to August 2013 (4 months) Foxboro, MASQA Engineering Intern @ Worked with multiple projects and teams of software engineers to perform intensive functional testing on the Pilotbrief Optima and Hubcast Alerting products. Reported and maintained 160 software bug reports, enhancing the products’ stability for distribution. From May 2012 to August 2012 (4 months) Andover, Massachusetts
