Greg Werner's Work experience at IllumiDesk:Since its inception in early 2016, IllumiDesk has been helping larger content providers, academic institutions, and teaching professionals create Jupyter Notebook environments for their students. IllumiDesk offer a wide range of services, from zero to full Jupyter Notebook deployments, as well as customer support through email, chat, and phone. IllumiDesk grew rapidly from a small Des Moines, Iowa based startup to becoming a leading provider of dedicated Jupyter Notebook deployments for large online audiences. At IllumiDesk, we believe in making learning easier for everyone. That’s why we’re excited to add Greg Werner as our new Founder and CEO.

🎓 Education

Before long, Greg Werner had put all of his back into his education. He had just finished his undergraduate studies at Emory University in 1992 and landed his first career credential, a B.A. in Fine Arts from the school. He then studied at the University of Illinois Springfield, where he received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2005. It was during this time that Werner first began thinking about his ever-growing business empire. After completing his MBA, he decided to move to Thunderbird School of Global Management at the University of Illinois Springfield, where he currently resides.Werner’s educational background allows him to attain a wide variety of professional certifications and experiences. These include mastery of the skills needed to compete in the global marketplace, a foundation in business theory and methodology, and experience with a variety of industry sectors. Additionally, Werner has worked extensively in business organizations both domestically and abroad. This has given him the know-how and skillset necessary to lead successful business ventures.Greg Werner is an accomplished individual, with many years of experience in the business world. He is highly researched and knowledgeable in a variety of business fields, which has allowed him to lead businesses to success. Werner is a leader in his field, and is able to see the future of businesses and how to improve them for the benefit of his customers and employees. He is always looking to learn and grow, and will continue to use his education and experience to great Effect in the business world.

💡 Technical & Interpersonal Skills

Greg has worked in the software development field since 1997, most notably as a Senior software engineer at IBM. Greg has experience working in a variety of technologies, including the Java Platform, Java SE, and JavaScript languages. Greg is also a Certified Jupyter notebook certified administrator.Before founding IllumiDesk, Greg was a technical writer for several years at Blue sky software, where he wrote Javscript, Ruby On Rails, and ASP.NET applications.
