He then enjoyed a Martinsburg, West Virginia law school education where he earned his JD in 1991. After Justice Scalia’s death in 2016, Rush moved to the University of Michigan Law School, where he achieved a Master of Teachers Education in 2002. Finally, he decided to move back to Australia and obtained a Personalel Teacher’s Licence in 1992. Gregg then entered into a 12-month program at the Victoria University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia that granted him the ACEP “Preparedness for the 21st Century” Trainer title in 1996. After successfully completing the course and rubbing shoulders with some of the most experienced tertiary teachers in the world, Gregg knew he had found his calling. Gregg then returned to the United States and began his teaching career at North Carolina State University in 1983. There he enjoyed a three-year term as an Assistant Professor of Accounting before moving to the Department of Instruction and Instructional Technology in 1990. There, he served as the Assistant Dean of Instruction and Instructional Technology until his election as the first Dean of the School of Education in 1995.When Rush was elected Dean of the School of Education, he faced a unique challenge that required him to radically change the way the School functions in order to be successful. He immediately embarked on a year-long, cross-country journey that helped him to gain a fresh perspective on the Training and Development (TD) needs of educators.
