By the end of the year we’d run, analyzed and distributed recommendations from 120 hours of customer interviews. In the last quarter we completed 34 individual customer interviews, 1 click test, 3 surveys and 16 usertesting.com sessions.I invested in accessibility by sending a designer off to be trained by webAIM and taking the whole team to spend a morning being trained at Yahoo’s brilliant accessibility lab. We only scratched the surface but came-up with a basic WCAG 2.0 checklist, workable rules for contrast ratios and better understanding of how to design navigation to work with screen readers. To support our 2015 Hack Week I setup and facilitated an onsite customer panel and remote customer interviews to allow innovation teams to validate their concepts with real customers and improve customer empathy. 11 customers met 48 hackers and gave feedback on 17 concepts.
