Since the launch of our flagship custom application(s) in 2009, we have been working with an amazing team of technology professionals at Title Source & Quicken Loans developing multi-tier enterprise systems with integrations, web & rich client user interfaces, mobile technologies, and document workflow, indexing, recognition, and machine learning technologies. Our custom software manages order processing, document creation, and workflow management to support business growth using the latest Microsoft technologies.
We’re involved in all phases of the development cycle including architecture, requirements analysis, programming, quality assurance and support for a variety of business oriented software applications and web sites. VP Application Development @ The goal of our extraordinary Application Development Team is to focus on long-term programs and projects with dedicated teams of Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Quality Engineers. We work with our Business Team, Architecture Team, Project Management, Continuous Improvement Analysts, and Data Science & Business Intelligence Teams on Custom Business Applications that give our Business a unique competitive edge.
Some of the technology we develop includes mobile applications, rich client applications, services, API's, integrations, web solutions, document indexing & classification, OCR solutions, and more. From July 2015 to Present (6 months) Enterprise Architect @ The goal of the enterprise architecture team is to provide the most efficient solution using the right technologies to achieve the current and future business objectives. We are involved in aligning technology to changes in business, setting standards and best practices, researching and prototyping new technology and communicating long-term vision. In other words, we make sure that the goals of technology are aligned with the goals of our business, and that the technology we use is as awesome as possible. From July 2014 to July 2015 (1 year 1 month) Sr. Software Engineer / Team Leader @ Lead around 20 direct reports involved in software engineering rich client, web applications, integrations, and mobile development through every phase of the SDLC using Agile and SCRUM inspired development practices. Facilitated daily stand-up's and collaborative development with the business using various approaches. Focused on coaching, team building, talent development, communication, technology vision, hands-on code reviews and software architecture direction.
Involved with hundreds of phone and face-to-face interviews to recruit top IT talent and grow the IT team from around 20 members to over 160.
Spearheaded innovation initiatives that resulted in a half-day each week for both Title Source and Quicken Loans technology team members (featured in Computerworld) to work on pet-projects to drive new technology and innovation to the business.
The team's proprietary development involves:
. N-Tier WPF, .NET 4.5, WCF, CSLA, SQL Server based apps load-balanced for thousands of users processing orders in queues and workflows meeting legal requirements of 50 states.
. Integration's with thousands of message types, dozens of partners and millions of messages.
. Automation, Auto-Assignment, Service Oriented and Notification based systems.
. ASP.NET, MVC and WebApi portals w/ OAuth for clients and vendors.
. Mobile Applications using jQuery Mobile with MVC, Xamarin, and native iOS and Android.
. Services such as UPS for shipping, Adobe LiveCycle for data-driven document creation, and Document services including OCR related automation's and indexing.
My goal as a leader is to always keep the team excited and passionate about their work, obsessed with finding better ways, doing the right thing for our users, and keeping things as simple and straight-forward as possible by choosing the right development patterns and consistency. Developed an Inventory Management solution from the ground-up that integrated with QuickBooks or Peachtree Accounting and followed GAAP standards using C#, .NET, SQL Server, and COM Interop integration components. The product also integrated with OSCommerce for E-commerce and had a PDA Scanning App using the Compact Framework. A support portal was developed in PHP with client access capabilities that integrated with help desk, forums, and provided live assistance and instant packaged software purchase and download using Paypal.
Developed a Fire Systems CRM from the ground up for managing service schedules, fire systems components and customer relationships. Integrated the system with the Inventory Management application and Peachtree accounting to automate processes. Developed several other applications of smaller scope which took advantage of some additional technologies like DevComponents user interface controls and CSLA for n-tier client-server capability with WCF hosted services.
Also worked on several company IT infrastructure projects including installation of network components, server installation and maintenance of Windows and Citrix based systems, Active Directory, SQL Servers, Exchange Servers, Terminal Servers, Print and File Servers, Web Servers, and Data Backup solutions. From September 2003 to July 2009 (5 years 11 months) Hardware & IT Analyst @ Began in the Hardware department. After college graduation moved into IT as the first direct hire responsible for assisting with IT infrastructure including Exchange Servers, Domain Controllers with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Terminal Servers, and Desktop Deployment and Support.
