Gillian joined Accenture following 2 years as a researcher within Financial Services, focusing on both Lloyd's of London and global insurance. She has been heavily involved with the European Youth Parliament at a senior level, presiding international conferences, restructuring her National Committee, auditing and enhancing conference content, and running leadership training, coaching and facilitation events across Europe. Gillian has a degree in Psychology from UCD and a Masters in Social Cognition from UCL. Gillian formerly lived in Switzerland and speaks French. She is also an avid traveller and enjoys outdoor sports and music.

Today the EYP is one of the largest European platforms for political debate, intercultural encounters, political educational work and the exchange of ideas among young people in Europe. The EYP consists of a network of 35 European associations and organisations in which thousands of young people are active in a voluntary capacity.
