George Zaloom is a successful serial entrepreneur. Mr. Zaloom recently launched The Las Vegas Whaling Company, a developer of new gaming technologies. LVWC has been recently engaged by Nexon/Rushmo to launch a USA-based social casino gaming studio. The company is also creating real-world geo-gaming applications.
In 2013 he oversaw the creation of a new social game studio for Korean Internet giant NHN. Zaloom authored NHN Entertainment Labs' business plan and budget, recruited the senior creative and engineering team, acquired technology platforms, licensed games, leased and built out the studio’s 7000 square foot facility.
Prior to his work with NHN, Zaloom was the founder and CEO of Playgistics, a Los Angeles-based technology company. The company developed and operated online consumer Internet products – specializing in online social casinos.
Its platform, GoPlay.com, enabled land-based casino operators to embed popular Facebook-formatted casino games directly into their own branded websites. The company also operated: gamestamper.com – a social game distribution platform/API. (The company sold its technology platform in 2013.)
Recently Zaloom was CEO of ChipzCo and created FaceChipz.com and giantHello.com – two safe social networks for kids. He is also an advisor to X17online.com. X17 is the largest celebrity newsgathering entertainment service in Los Angeles.
Prior to that Zaloom was a film and TV executive. He was a senior executive at DreamWorks Animation and supervised the production of Kung Fu Panda. He also ran ZM Productions, a major production company specializing in non-fiction and Family Entertainment. At ZM Zaloom produced the motion picture Encino Man and numerous movies for ABC’s Wonderful World of Disney. He also co-created Martha Stewart Living and the Emmy winning documentary Hearts of Darkness.
Zaloom is a graduate of the University Southern California School of Film & Television. He is also a former New Jersey Firefighter.
