He has a long-standing interest in using AI and machine learning to automate manual tasks, and this has led him to develop Cue Sheet, an app that allows cyclists to navigate a planned route using artificial intelligence. He also leads a summer course on software development for seniors, which uses machine learning and AI techniques to help seniors remain informed and organized while growing old.

Geoff Matrangola has a degree in Computer Science from Loyola University Maryland and a degree in Business Administration from Towson University. Geoffrey was first introduced to programming by his older brother, who would teach him PASCAL programming. Geoff has been happy with his undergraduate degree and is excited to continue his education and learn more about the programming world.while at Loyola, Geoff was a member of the Computer Science Honors Society, which enabled him to network with other students in the field and engage in discussions about advances in computer science.After graduating from Loyola University Maryland in 1999, Geoff began his career as a computer science student at Towson University. At Towson University, Geoff was a part of the computer science master’s program, where he met and worked with many of the current and future leaders in the field. In his time at Towson University, Geoff helped to develop the Towson computer science program into one of the most competitive in the area.After almost ten years of successful academic endeavors, Geoff matriculated into the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006 as a third-year computer science major with the intent of pursing a career in computer programming.While at Georgia Institute of Technology, Geoff continued to develop his skills in programming and returned to the academic world to work on a project for a major magazine. After long years of concentration on one project and various on-the-job assignments, the project was completed in the most timely manner possible and won the prize at the competition.In his free time, Geoff likes to play the violin and watch boxers.
