Software Engineer @ I work on platform scalability and stability for the External API team.

https://developer.uber.com From November 2015 to Present (2 months) San Francisco Bay AreaSenior Software Engineer @ I worked on Game Services in the Central Tech Organization.
I designed and implemented a highly available, RESTful service written in Golang with a storage layer that uses DynamoDB, serving over a billion queries a day. This involved:
- Architecture design
- Building the service from the ground up
- Integrating several third party libraries
- Setting up provisioning and deployment scripts
- Optimizations in concurrency
I was the owner of and built features for multiple services written in Golang, Python, and PHP with storage layers that use DynamoDB, Membase, Memcached, and Redis. From August 2014 to November 2015 (1 year 4 months) San Francisco Bay AreaSoftware Engineer Intern @ Analyzed big data to develop new features to improve the quality of Ads on Google Search. These features, which were trained using machine learning techniques and then integrated into a serving pipeline, attempt to correlate the text on ads with the text on the landing page. From August 2013 to December 2013 (5 months) San Francisco Bay AreaSoftware Engineer Intern @ Built an event-driven combat system comprised of many sub-systems (including weapons, projectiles, stats, and damage) for an undisclosed title. Built additional data-driven systems and tools using scalable JavaScript. From May 2013 to August 2013 (4 months) San Francisco Bay AreaGraduate Research Assistant @ Worked with the RNOC lab (rnoc.gatech.edu) to integrate several campus services onto Georgia Tech’s mobile website. From January 2013 to May 2013 (5 months) Desktop Specialist @ Local Lead in IT role involving use of MS Active Directory and Citrix Metaframe. Trained tech support staff on the LEAN productivity system. From January 2009 to November 2009 (11 months) Founder, Team Lead, and Programmer @ Founded and led a team to develop an open-source, total conversion mod for Valve’s Half-Life engine during my free time. MechMod was featured in a full-page review in the January 2005 issue of the UK’s PC GAMER magazine.
