Frank Swinand's Educational Background and Work readiness:Frank Swinand's education derives from his experience as a musician, musician educator, and jazz guitarist. Swinand holds a B.A. from William Paterson University of New Jersey in 1992, and an M.Ed. from Temple University in 1989. Swinand's music education background covers both jazz guitar and music performance. Swinand became interested in jazz guitar in his teenage years, after watching his cousins perform. Swinand attended William Paterson University of New Jersey, where he earned a B.A. in September 1992. He then transferred to Temple University, where he earned a B.A. in September 1989. Swinand's jazz guitar education focused on teaching and learning. Swinand's first teaching job was as a music education major at William Paterson University of New Jersey, where he taught jazz guitar from 1992 to 1995. Swinand's next teaching award was as the recipient of the Temple University Jazz Bass Master Award in 1992. He then moved on to teach music performance at Temple University from September 1989 to September 1992. Swinand's fifth teaching award was as the recipient of the prestigious Grammy Award for Best Jazz Guitar Album in 1992. Swinand currently teaches jazz guitar in music classes and private Musical Education lessons. Swinand is available for teach guitar and music composition at private lessons and music therapy clinics.
