My name is Evan Kanter. I'm a senior web developer with 18-years of experience building web and mobile sites. While I started out my programming career as a front-end development specialist, I have since become equally comfortable doing full stack application development. I have a strong understanding of database technologies, user interface design, web-based application design, graphic design, object-oriented programming and advanced mobile development.
As a long time entrepreneur and a seasoned business expert, I have the skills, instincts, and experience to take a big idea and turn it into a thriving business. In regards to large applications, I have personally built from scratch 10 complex e-commerce websites and a sports fan social network as well as run the businesses that were built around them. I’ve been a technical lead and project manager on over 40 different small and large-scale projects. Within the last year, I have acquired my Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate and am learning several new programming languages to keep my skills and knowledge current.
Currently I am looking for opportunities to work with companies in need of someone with a unique combination of web development skills, managerial efficiency, and entrepreneurial instincts. I don't shy away from responsibility, large projects or coding assignments. I also am open to managing people, projects, and the never ending expectations of customers.
I recognize that not many entrepreneurs are hands on programmers so I look forward to finding a new challenge, whether it be coding-specific or managerial based! Contact me if I can be of help to your organization.
