PhD in Biotechnology (2013) at Federal University of Espirito Santo, with parts of the thesis developed at KU Leuven (Belgium) and Radboud University Nijmegen (The Netherlands). Contract researcher working for the mining company Vale (2011-2013). Currently a postdoc in Molecular Biotechnology at Leiden University (The Netherlands). Experience in Biotechnology, mainly in the following areas: Biotechnology of plant (plant fibres and lignocellulosic hydrolysis) and microorganisms (bioethanol and enzyme productions); second generation biofuels and lignocellulolytic enzymes. Awarded with a gold medal for the best work on Environment at the International Finex Meeting (Iran), which was also honored by the mayor of Vitoria-Brazil (2013).
