💼 Past Experience

Eric is responsible for the retrieval and review of resumes and applications for clients in the private equity, technology, insurance, healthcare and public companies industries. He provides lead analysis and consulting on executive search and talent reclamation, as well as helping clients create a strong interim management team. Eric has extensive experience in search, review and selection of candidates for executive positions, having worked in a number of Fortune 500 companies and providing tiricoial leadership advice to a variety of global clients. Before joining Spencer Stuart, Eric worked as the President of Talent Solutions at oK Professional Corporation, a talent management and reference provider. He led the company's successful raids on troubled companies and its development of a training institution to help its clients screen and develop the best talent. There, Eric developed a strong understanding of the private equity, technology, insurance and healthcare industries and Shareholder Services provided a unique insight into the opaque business challenges of these industries. He also served as the company's first Independent Reviewer for Overpayments and Nepotism, conducting an identification of overpayments and cases of un genuinelyitable Directors in over 350 public companies. Eric is a Registered Professional Engineer in the US and has been working in the industry since 1998. Eric holds a B.S. from The New School in New York City and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Eric Zakre's education has been focused largely in creative writing and composition. He holds an M.A. from Columbia University in the City of New York, and an A.B from Colgate University. He has also taught creative writing and composition at several institutions. Eric Zakre is currently an assistant professor in the creative writing and composition program at New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
