Eric Rinkus has a Bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Michigan in 2010. After a brief stint as a software engineer at a startup, Eric worked initially as a technician at Target Corporation and then as a desk intern at Michigan Technological University before being hired as a contractor at Epic Media in July 2014. There, he was responsible for developing software for the Medicine Administration Record, which involved on-the-fly comparisons and analysis of multiple pieces of data for patient safety monitoring and alerts, efficient coding for optimized performance, and efficiently displaying large amounts of over-time medical data to users in a usable interface. Additionally, Eric came onto the web migration project for this application at its earliest stages.At Target Corporation, Eric was responsible for ensuring the safety of all residents, but primarily the residents within my hall. This included performing nightly rounds throughout my building, documenting violations of residential and school regulations, and being at the ready to respond to any emergencies that my arise. At Michigan Technological University, Eric was responsible for designing and implementing a new process for updating and distributing the tool, designing and implemented and optimized modular design for the tool, and creating thorough documentation to ease future support of the tool.
