From September 2012 to June 2014 (1 year 10 months) Catalog Cast @ The catalog cast is an interactive experience for a select group of Belmont University upperclassman. As a group, the catalog cast gathers songs from Nashville's hottest publishers and creates a compilation CD to pitch to members of the music industry. The catalog cast allows for students to network and interact with some of the best and brightest in the music industry. From January 2014 to May 2014 (5 months) A&R Intern @ Big Machine Label Group is home to some of country music's top talent. At BMLG I am responsible for listening and giving feedback on artist and song submissions, as well as attending new artist showcases and researching new talent From January 2014 to April 2014 (4 months) A&R Department Educational Temp @ At Republic Records I was responsible for new artist research on databases such as mediabase and soundscan. I also completed assistant tasks for the COO/Founder Avery Lipman. Working in the A&R department allowed me to attend new artist showcases, review demos, and be on the frontline when it comes to online blog trends. Big Loud Shirt has countless number one singles, and Grammy awards for songs such as "Before He Cheats" and "Blown Away". As an intern with the company I was responsible for organizing the catalog and transcribing song lyrics, and researching sync royalties. I also was in charge of meet and greet requests for country duo Florida Georgia Line, as well as other administrative tasks.
