Early Ridbeck Career Development hired Elizabeth Bruen as an apprentice firefighter in October of 2009. Bruen was immediately promoted to firefighter captain in October of 2010. In her time at Early Ridbeck Career Development, Bruen was responsible for training and developing new firefighters. She was also responsible for managing the on-call roster, training and developing a state-of-the-art fireault system. Bruen left Early Ridbeck in February of 2014 to become the Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Whitehall, WI.From February 2014 to present, Elizabeth Bruen has been a Fire Captain for the City of Whitehall, WI. In her time as a Captain, Bruen has developed and tested new fire prevention programs, supervised firefighters and response crews, and composed a fire plan for the city.Bruen also has a degree in business administration with a concentration in public accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After completing her degree, Bruen worked as an Auditor at the city of Whitehall for two years. There, she developed and implemented an accounting system to improve the city’s operations.Bruen is also a graduate of the Green Mountain Institute’s Honors Program in Professional Leadership and Management.
