I am a first semester Master of Science student studying Mechanical Engineering at University of Southern California. I previously graduated from University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. I am presently looking for a full-time internship for Summer 2016. From August 2015 to Present (5 months) Systems Engineering Intern @ •Traveled independently on-site to verify communications equipment and CAD the new installations from scratch. •Drafted and updated the present configuration of train signaling, construction, and electrical CAD plans including fiber optic installations, catenary systems, and assembly drawings for the system-wide San Diego Trolley renewal project. •Created a large Metadata file based in Excel with over 12k lines to overhaul paper-based documentations of current & miscellaneous drawing sheets, information, and designs via hyperlinks, Northing & Easting coordinates, and other characteristics. From April 2014 to June 2015 (1 year 3 months) Technical Laboratory Assistant @ •Wired pyranometers and photo diodes and connected via breadboard the Beagle-Bone Black, Arduino UNO, & Raspberry Pi microcontrollers to measure voltage and power output. •Self-taught UI for Beagle-Bone Black, mechanisms in solar collectors, and common research protocols. •Replicated a solar shadow band with a step-motor and microcontroller to aid current measurement devices. From March 2013 to April 2014 (1 year 2 months) Vice President External '12-'13 @ Acted as the main point of contact for external relations including connecting with sponsors, collaborating with professionals, and recruiting technical advisors and clientele for current projects. •Successfully wrote and acquired grants and fundraised over $15,000 in which 100% of the profits were allocated to international and local projects within EWB. •Acquired and initiated EWB’s current water transport and sanitation project in Rwanda and EWB’s local Smart Garden project, a project that aims to build, design, and maintain a sustainable rooftop garden. •Teamed up with San Diego State student chapter and the San Diego professional chapter to co-host the first annual EWB West Coast Regional Conference held in San Diego with a turnout of over 300 attendees. From March 2012 to March 2014 (2 years 1 month) Marine Biology Intern @ Two week summer internship program that centered on plankton research and estuary education around the local Bay Area. •Raised public awareness of the importance of marine life along with sustainability. •Presented findings to an audience and secured future sponsors that represented local, state, and national organizations at the Aquarium of the Bay. •Learned about zonation, tides and currents, sustainable fishing, the food web and the important role the Bay Estuary plays in our lives.
