Education:Edward Tarnovsky earned a B.S from National Louis University in 1988. He then graduated with a M.A. in 1990 from the same school. After completing his education, he then worked as an advertising copywriter and marketer. From 1992-1996, he also worked as an research associate at the Carlyle Group. In 1996, Tarnovsky became a professor at Zhejiang University in the Chinese city of Shanghai.
