About Sugar

💼 Past Experience

From 2003-2015, I was a Vice President at OLC Global, Inc. where I served as the Coordinator of Sales and Marketing. The workload here washeavy as we were tasked with creating, nurturing and maintaining profitable and meaningful business relationships with clients. My responsibilities were to manage a sales force of 460 people and to lead sales brass on their objectives and strategies. Additionally, I was responsible for OLC's marketing programs which generated annual sales of $166 million. I opposed calls to reduce the team size and frequency of product launches. It was only after I left OLC that I realized how critical it is to have a talented and cohesive sales team.From September 1999-February 2002, I was Director, Sales & Marketing at Horizon Research, a software company. I was responsible for leading sales and marketing operations for Horizon Research's products, Xenix, Sun Microsystems, and their subsidiaries. My team successfully generated over $200 million in sales. While I led Horizon Research, I experienced some great challenges. I experienced power struggles within the company, which was typical in the early days of the internet boom. I also experienced major name recognition within the software industry as a result of my work with Horizon Research.From June 1995-September 1999, I was an Associate at Interviewing Service of America, a staffing company. I was responsible for managing and leading Interviewing Service of America's sales representation for its clients. I was also responsible for developing and implementing sales strategy for the company. Our clients included technology, automotive, and financial companies. I was credited with developing the company's first in-home interview technique.While at Interviewing Service of America, I also established a strong relationship with my predecessor, Tom Hickey. Tom and I would talk on a daily basis, learn from one another, and challenge each other's techniques. We were roommates at the time, and I was very lucky to have him as my boss. Tom was instrumental in developing my skills as a salesperson and mentor.At Sugar Marketing and Sales, I am responsible for developing, implementing, and leading our company's sales efforts. This includes but is not limited to creating and cultivating profitable, meaningful and strategic relationships with our customers. I am currently a managing partner. I have helped our company achieve sales goals of over $1 billion. I have also been a team lead and tutor for several teams at the company, four of which have won national sales championships. I would love to continue my work here at Sugar Marketing and Sales in the future.
