I am a true multimodal logistician with over 10 years experience selling air, road, sea and rail freight supply chain solutions. Currently working within DB Schenker Rail's Intermodal sector with a focus on new business development for International Rail freight to and from Italy. Project leader on a brand new rail service from Teesport to Scotland which is due to commence in August. Personal strengths lie predominantly within the Far East Ocean inbound tradelane. Keen negotiator of suppliers with a focus on intermodal solutions to maximise bottom line profit and integration of IT platforms and value added services for client retention. I am always keen to connect to potential new business partners and associates to share industry knowledge and explore potential partnerships. Feel free to message me to discuss anything in more detail.Account Manager - Intermodal @ DB Schenker Rail UK is a UK and International Rail operator known formally as EWS (English, Welsh & Scottish railways) My role is a commercial management post in a marketing function and is primarily to manage the development and growth of DB Schenker Rail’s logistics business in allocated markets such as UK Maritime, UK Domestic and International. On the UK maritime business I am both building new and managing current business with Shipping Lines, freight forwarders and UK domestic Hauliers to and from the main ports in the UK. The second responsibility I have is to develop business for strategic UK domestic rail flows. The last area of my responsibility is to secure new business on our international rail routes between the UK, Italy and Poland. I have recently led on what I believe to be the most innovative and pioneering project within the Intermodal sector of recent times, to create and champion a 100% rail solution to move FCL directly from the Far East to the UK, halving the transit time taken by sea, yet still being much cheaper than air. From July 2012 to Present (3 years 6 months) Business Development Manager @ Maltacourt are a medium size forwarder with offices in Runcorn, Heathrow, Sydney, Toronto & Budapest. My main remit for Maltacourt was to strengthen their ocean freight presence and create a product I could go to market with. This led to the recognition of particular vertical markets which the company has been successful in. The ocean freight product was borne from the ability to personally negotiate rates with the shipping lines, secure inland restitution deals and create an intermodal rail solution for final mile delivery. Once rates were inline with other global forwarders, service was sold with a bespoke, personal and small business attitude, treating all new clients as VIP's regardless of volume commitment. As well as developing new business opportunities, I have also been involved with National Exhibitions and overseas trips to global offices and more recently, the recruitment, selection and management of new sales talent which were mentored internally with a view to progressing to outdoor sales within a 12 month period. From January 2011 to July 2012 (1 year 7 months) UK & Ireland Sales Manager @ Alberti & Santi are an Italian road haulier offering integrated transport and logistics to and from Italy. My main position was to develop and grow their new international pallet network service, Pall-Ex Italia (operating under a master licence agreement from Pall-Ex UK) for both imports and exports to / from the UK. As the head office is in Kent, I worked based from home in national capacity. From July 2009 to December 2010 (1 year 6 months) Area Sales Manager @ At COSCO, I was the Area Sales Manager for the North East, North West and Midlands areas. COSCON are the containerised shipping line division of COSCO Group. COSCO are owned by the Chinese government and are the 6th largest shipping line in the world. The main trade lanes for COSCON UK were both Eastbound & Westbound between the UK, Far East, Indian Sub Continent & South East Asia. From November 2007 to May 2009 (1 year 7 months) Business Development Manager @ My role for K&N was concentrating solely on Far East & Indian Sub Continent ocean imports into the UK. Kuehne + Nagel are the global number one forwarder on ocean freight. My main duty for Kuehne + Nagel was developing the Far East West Bound trade lane into the UK. From August 2005 to October 2007 (2 years 3 months) Castlebrook High School From 1991 to 1996 Dino Vecchione is skilled in: Freight, Logistics, Ocean, Container, New Business Development, Import, Business Development, Ocean Freight, Transportation, Sales, Negotiation, Freight Forwarding, International Logistics, Rail, Account Management, Key Account Management, Far East, China Business Development
