In 2001, Olick was named correspondent for CBS This Morning, the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, and Sunday Morning. She reported from inside the White House, the Pentagon, and Capitol Hill. Olick was the first woman to ever report from the White House briefing room. She was also a part of the team that won the industry’s first ever Emmy for Outstanding interviewed correspondent. Olick was also a finalist for the prestigious Peabody Award for her work on CBS This Morning. Olick also reported from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq for the network. In 2006, Olick was named correspondent for the Washington bureau of CNBC. At the time, she became the first woman to be a staff reporter on CNBC. Olick has since been a lead reporter on a variety of financial programming such as the Financial Trends segment on the Summarize & Chart show, the Squawkbox show, and the New Money beat on CNBC’s breakfast show. Olick also has a personal blog, Realty Check, which she runs b4 and during business breaks. Olick is also a featured speaker at various business and educational events. In early 2007, Olick was named a finalist for the prestigious Peabody Award for her work on the CNBC Business Report. Olick has been a regular correspondent for CNBC’s Squawk box, where she interviews business leaders and discusses their latest venture.
