I am a seasoned internet executive with a unique combination of experiences and skills. Entrepreneurship vs. multinational companies executive leadership role; solid engineering background vs. extensive business management experiences; 10 years in the U.S. vs. 8 years local Chinese internet market. These experiences have given me a unique perspective on the local Chinese internet market as well as global technology trends.
I am currently President of LinkedIn China and I am excited to bring the world’s largest professional network to China.
Prior to LinkedIn, I was the founder and CEO of Nuomi.com, a leading group-buying site in China. I founded the company in early 2010 and grew it to over 2,500 employees. I continued to serve as the CEO after Baidu acquired a majority stake in 2013. Previously, I spent five years at Google where most recently I served as its Head of Business Development in China. Prior to Google, I held a number of senior technical leadership roles at Yahoo! and Vizional Technologies in California.

When left the company the end of 2013, the company had grown to over 2,500 employees with operations in 120 cities nationwide and annual GMV of several billion RMB.
In August 2013, Baidu acquired a 59% stake in the company for $160 million USD in cash. In January 2014, Baidu acquired the remaining stake. Nuomi has now become a major component of Baidu’s overall O2O strategy. From February 2010 to December 2013 (3 years 11 months) Head of Business Development, China @ As the Head of Business Development for Google China, led the company’s strategic partnerships with China Mobile, China Unicom, Ctrip, AutoNavi, Kingsoft, and many other prominent internet and telecom companies. Also responsible for the strategic expansion of the Android platform in China. From September 2008 to January 2010 (1 year 5 months) Engineering Manager @ Led a team of engineers responsible for developing Google’s internal management systems, including the deal management platform. After returning to China as a member of the Google China landing team, continued to be responsible for the internal management systems and participated in a number of product development and localization efforts for Google China, including the China Mobile search project. From June 2005 to September 2008 (3 years 4 months) Technical Lead @ Responsible for front-end system development for Overture ads platform. Also participated in the design and development of the all new Yahoo! Panama advertising system. From May 2004 to June 2005 (1 year 2 months) Senior Software Engineer @ LowerMyBills.com is the leading consumer finance corporate web site that connects prospective mortgage borrowers to lenders. It was acquired in 2005 by Experian for $330 million.
One of the lead architects for the next-generation LowerMyBills website and the technical lead for B2B integration system. Also designed and implemented the new customer recognition framework. From May 2003 to May 2004 (1 year 1 month) Senior Software Engineer @ Vizional Technologies is a leading B2B supply chain software solution company.
