One way that Alchemy Worx tried to keep up with the industry was by developing email marketing methods and tactics used by other companies.One of Alchemy Worx’s Favorite methods for email marketing was emailCG, which was created so that customers could easily see what ads were being served to them based on their specific browsing activity. This was a groundbreaking method because it allowed companies to track user engagement with their content and ads, which was then used to improve the content and ads of future versions of the product.Another method of email marketing used by Alchemy Worx was the daily email offer. This email offer consisted of a list of promotions that customers could choose to receive every day. By clicking on thedaily email offer, customers were directed to a web page where they could view the latest promotions from Alchemy Worx.Other methods that Alchemy Worx used for email marketing were the e-newsletter, which was sent to a subscriber’s email address upon subscribing to the company’s email newsletter service. Dela Quist, who is currently the founder and CEO of Alchemy Worx, was born in October of 1974 in the city of Madrid, Spain. When she was just a young girl, her family moved to Spain's Canary Islands, and she spent most of her summers there. This move taught her a thing or two about living life on the go and having to scrambled to keep up with the culture.Dela Quist attended the University of the Canaries in Fuensalida, and then the University of the Arts in London, where she earned a B.A. in art history. Upon her transplant to the United States, Quist spent a year at Tufts University in Sackler School of Engineering and then two years at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.Dela Quist first worked in advertising at a commercial paper company in Spain before moving to London, where she became a Group Advertisement Manager at VNU Business Publications in January 1990. Moving back to the United States, she became Ad Manager at IDG Communications in January 1984. After a few years as an executive at a marketing research firm, she founded and CIO at Alchemy Worx: Driving Growth Through Email in January 2000.In her travel Virgin America business, she served as the Founding CMO and served as CEO from 2001 to 2012.
