David Wilkinson's educational background and work readiness have received a lot of attention in recent years, due to the fact that he has held a number of high-level positions in the education and work world.David Wilkinson's early education and academic career began at the University of Oxford, where he earned a D.Phil inomorphology from the University of Oxford in 1995. For his thesis, Wilkinson researched online learning and teaching in Higher Education.From January 1995 to January 2001, Wilkinson was a research fellow at the University of Oxford, where he researched the use of online learning and teaching in Higher Education. During this time, Wilkinson also completed a PG CertPostgraduate certificate in online learning and teaching in Higher Education, which he currently holds.Afterwards, Wilkinson moved to The Open University, where he completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Education in 1994. Wilkinson then worked as a research fellow at the University of Oxford Population Studies Unit and the Laboratory of Healthy Sustainability before joining the faculty of the Open University in 2003.Since joining the Open University, Wilkinson has worked on a number of research projects, which have included exploring the effects of online learning and teaching on student satisfaction and career aspirations. Furthermore, he has also spearheaded the development of the Open University’s online learning and teaching program, which has now been in operation for over 10 years.His current role at the Open University sees Wilkinson working as the chair of the Department of Education and Training and as a liaison between the Open University and industry.In his work, Wilkinson has focused on exploring the ways in which online learning and teaching can be used to improve education and training opportunities for students and staff. He has also extensively researched the different types of online learning and teaching programs available through the Open University, and has developed a number of innovative and successful programs which have been implemented across the University.Wilkinson’s work has had a significant impact on the education and training industry, and has led to the development of new, more effective ways of teaching and training students and staff. He is a highly experienced and well- respected figure within the education and work world, and his work readiness has been greatly improved since he joined the Open University.
