💼 Past Experience

From September 1996 to December 1998, I was a research analyst at Credit Suisse First Boston, working on the Value Dynamics Framework project. This was a value-based research initiative aimed at improving the analytical quality of our research globally. The project was led by a team of myself, Crystal Cheng, and others. We created and implemented an economic earnings (aka EVA) and discounted cash flow model for all companies covered by CSFB.I was also responsible for teaching the Global Equity Research department how to apply value-based analysis and discounted cash flow analysis to their investment decision making process. Once we had the majority of equity research analysts using the VDF model, we marketed this unique research product to CSFB's largest buy-side clients. Our success in marketing prompted the Global initiative named CSFBEdge, which eventually became CSFB-HOLT.
