💼 Past Experience

From 2007 to 2013, David Spinks was a Vice President at Fidelis, a Technology and Solutions Firm within the Netherlands private sector. At Fidelis, Davidserved as the Chief Technology Officer and was responsible for all aspects of technology, Including but not limited to technology vision, strategy, and operation. As Vice President at Fidelis, he led the development and implementation of Fidelis' offering portfolio of technology including Enterprise Management Suite, Cloud Services, Wireless Hotspot, and VPN. In addition, he also developed new technology licences and issued formations to expand and develop Fidelis' technology offerings. Previously, from 2006 to 2007, he was Manager of IT for the Jewish Bank of Amsterdam (JB Amsterdam). At JB Amsterdam, he managed all IT functions from start to finish, from systems design and development to end user experience and solution delivery. In his role, he was responsible for the day to day operations of the entire IT infrastructure of theJewish Bank of Amsterdam. From 2000 to 2006, he was responsible for the IT Administration and Defence for the city of Rotterdam. As director of IT at Rotterdam city government, he led the organization of the IT Administration and Defence division, which functioned as the city's main watchdog over security and technical capacities of city government departments. In his role, he coordinated the activities of the city's three ITS divisions and managed the city's IT department. David Spinks was also responsible for the management of the city's information technology resources and the organized storage and retrieval of city government data. From 1995 to 2000, he was a consultant with IDS Canada Ltd. He worked on a wide range of projects, including but not limited to PCI DSS, Software Defined Security, intrusion detection, prevention, and response. At IDS Canada, he was responsible for the development and implementation of software security solutions for a wide range of industries and manufacturers. He was also responsible for the design and implementation of intrusion prevention and response systems for the city of Toronto, and was a co-author of the Canadian Paper Abstractors Study on Software Security.
