In late 2012, I was asked to manage a newly created team as the Corporate Applications Manager to focus on designing, developing and supporting key corporate applications. These include the architecture, development and support the Corporate Communications intranet sites, The Edge - FMC Technologies' knowledge sharing applications, FMC University, and FMC Technologies' public web effort. Many of these applications include intricate integrations with back-end systems including SAP, Human Capital Management and other line of business systems. I have a direct staff of 5 developers and application architects.
Prior to this assignment, I managed the Global Application Architects team.
I managed a direct staff of 6 people that architect major application technologies such as, SAP, SharePoint, SOA, BizTalk, Mobility, MDM, and application development. My team works on global initiatives that impact 15,000+ users throughout the enterprise. The integration between these technologies is a key success factor in our ability to leverage various sources of information.
Previously, I managed the upgrade SharePoint MOSS 2007 to SharePoint 2010 for the global Intranet portal solution, deploying 4 regional farms that serve 10,000 employees.
My team and I deployed SharePoint 2010 globally for document management, web based application development and delivery, and developed infrastructure for records retention policies through the use of Content Types.
Recently launched the first phase of using SharePoint 2010 as a front-end to SAP's Human Capital Management (ESS/MSS). This is the first SAP application to be used by all employees with a SharePoint front end.
