This involved partner selection and ongoing management. AX2012 R3 - Lead Consultant (Interim Project Manager) Initially working as a Functional Consultant on the project in the Sales & Logistics area, I was asked by the client to take on-board the Implementation Lead role (Interim AX Project Manager role) when their in-house PM resigned, prior to developments being delivered to them by the partner. I introduced Microsoft Lifecycle Services into the project and guided them through the testing, training and UK go-live of this AX2012 R3 implementation that involved integrations with Magento (Web) and JDA RedPrairie (warehousing) applications. AX2012 R2 I supported the Logistics, Production and Repair Tracks working as the internal functional consultant with the end user business process owner. My role is to assist both the end user and the reseller to ensure that the right solution is designed, developed and tested to ensure the project success. This involved learning Lean Manufacturing in AX2012 and transferring my knowledge into the end user business process owners. From 2011 to Present (4 years) Dynamics AX Contractor @ Dynamics AX Project Manager x 2 Projects Dynamics AX Functional Consultant x 7 Projects (AX2012) - AX Functional Consultant Working on behalf of the end user to develop the basis for a global template based on AX2012 just as it was released. I worked on the Supply Chain/Logistics areas of the template, liaising with the end users ERP specialist.The template was initially developed internally with no reseller support. This was a great opportunity to get an early exposure to AX2012 and to get to grips with some of the new functionality at that time. (AX2009) - AX Project Manager I was the internal IS & AX Project Manager managing the relationship between the end user and the reseller. My role was to manage the implementation, ensure that the business goals were achieved and that the right solution was created. This was a mixture of Project Management and functional consulting, I carried out many of the internal training myself, supported by the reseller. (AX2009) - AX Functional Consultant I provided additional support to this AX2009 project on behalf of the end user, upon the recommendation of the reseller. Supporting the sales & logistics streams with general onsite AX support in the run up to the go-live of their solution. This involved working with both the end users and the external consultants to resolve issues and train the users. (AX4.0) - AX Project Manager / AX Functional Consultant I provided external contract consulting for the end user on the Logistics track before being asked to take over their Internal Project Manager role. My role was to liaise between the end user and the reseller to ensure the project moved forward and the stated business requirements were met by the solution. This involved responsibility for the internal project team, to bring up their skill level and enable them to work effectively with the wider business and the partner consultants.
