Responsible for managing investment professionals/teams in Bank, developing new products, House view on global capital markets, overseeing global investment process, and being the public spokesperson for the bank as it relates to investment views. Previously a founder of a Wealth Management Consultancy business and prior to that the head of a 32 billion global Alternative Investment business at AIG. Investment Professional with over 25 years of buy side and sell side experience in the areas of Private Equity and Hedge Funds. Was the first US employee in AIG's alternative investment group when total assets in these strategies was less than 50 million in 1986, and subsequently lead and grew the teams and capabilities of the organization to the point where by 2005, alternative asset managed by the group exceeded $20 billion for AIG and a substantial global and external client base. In 2009 completed an advisory assignment for a $200 million refinancing and restructuring of a listed private equity firm in Switzerland. Currently sitting on the Investment Committee for several large single family offices and Institutional Capital Pools with respect to asset allocation and manager selection. Evaluation of Private Equity investment opportunities, Hedge Funds and special situations. Led AIG's structured solution (Pine Street) in one of the first ever securitized private equity transactions where AIG completed a 1 billion securitization that received a AAA rated tranche of senior debt. Managed a team of over 75 investment professionals in 4 major financial centers. Invested in 112 direct equity and mezzanine financings totaling 1.25 billion in invested capital from 1988 to 2007. During the same period was a board member on 19 different companies ranging from discovery pharmaceutical companies media and entertainment companies, and industrial manufacturing companies.
