📖 Summary
Technical Project Manager @ MIRROR • Expanded the MX tech support team and scaled processes to handle 10x customer growth whilemaintaining 4 hour SLAs by implementing CRM integrations and custom tooling.• Improved the member onboarding process by authoring internal technical troubleshooting scripts and customer-facing documentation. From January 2019 to January 2020 (1 year 1 month) Greater New York City AreaFullstack Software Engineer - Founding Engineer / Product Manager @ Prescriptive Data Fifth employee and third Fullstack Javascript engineer of a team which used data metrics and predictive analysis to create a user friendly greenfield Internet of Things(IoT) platform for commercial and residential building management/administration. Using my previous experience both in engineering and as a Product Manager I led weekly meetings to understand the end users' needs, created storyboards, generated low fidelity mockups, and formulated a plan before any code was written. Since the proposed application was a greenfield project I had the technical liberty to determine the framework to be used, wherein I selected React as it seemed promising in 2015 due to its functional and modular nature.• Designed, architected, and implemented an isomorphic B2B SaaS IoT web app (Nantum) from scratch, which displays metrics and analytics for commercial building energy optimization using Node/React/Redux/D3.• Scoped and developed features through weekly meetings with stakeholders and field user research where pain points were analyzed, prioritized, mocked up, and improved upon according to agile methodology.• Created an internal meta dashboard app to manage Nantum’s dependencies and features using the software development lifecycle.• Mentored, on-boarded, and oversaw colleagues, through one-on-one instruction, leading multiple tech talks for team knowledge sharing, code reviews, and pair programming as the team expanded. From June 2015 to October 2016 (1 year 5 months) Applications Analyst / Product Manager @ Peter Cooper Village / Stuyvesant Town Managed a newly adopted commercial real estate administration platform where we served as the pilot user. Spent time with our end users who ranged from onsite trade laborers (plumbers, electricians, locksmiths etc) to directors and C-suite executives to strike a perfect balance for feature scoping and requests. Worked with the third party developers and onsite consultants to constantly iterate and remain agile keeping in mind budgeting constraints, adherence to quarterly obligations, and corporate waterfall practices.• Conducted weekly meetings with users, the operations team, and directors/VPs for roadmap prioritization and feature brainstorming to determine strategies and areas of improvement for upcoming quarters.• Conceptualized and implemented a photo share feature which reduced tenant callbacks by 17%, reducing monthly operations costs by 3% while improving tenant satisfaction and increasing worker availability.• Created both tactical and strategic roadmaps to ensure total transparency and goal alignment as multiple stakeholder hierarchies were involved.• Provided support and developed functional/technical requirement documents based on company needs for the application in use on the property which was implemented by the third party vendor.• Created low fidelity mockups in Balsamiq along with corresponding storyboards to generate buy-in from all stakeholders for feature requests.• Managed data produced by the application by exporting SQL queries to excel to provide meaningful analytics for day-to-day company operations leading to increased efficiency and tenant satisfaction. From August 2013 to July 2014 (1 year) Project Coordinator/Lead Inspector @ Peter Cooper Village / Stuyvesant Town • Ensured that all 11,250 apartment units and corresponding buildings met required property standards through field inspections and constant communication with contractors and construction project managers.• Scheduled and monitored renovations work for up to 50 units at a time throughout the various stages of the renovations process which involved multiple inspectors and contractors. From May 2013 to August 2013 (4 months) Web Application Programmer and Designer @ Universidad Pontificia Comillas Supported and worked on an already existing classroom CMS written in PHP and MySQL for an engineering Professor in Spain in the fields of Finite Element Analysis and Mechanics of Materials. • Self taught Javascript and CSS in order to add extra functionality and styling for an enhanced user experience.• Created data managements scripts and administrative tools which could be ported outside of the web application's original intended use for other departments of the school.• Created a functional user guide in both English and in Spanish for future developers to follow.• Interviewed Spanish graduate students and Professors in order to ensure the most convenient and aesthetically pleasing implementation of design features while improving the security of the system. From May 2011 to July 2011 (3 months) Madrid Area, SpainProduct Manager @ Sportsrocket • Managed 18 software engineers and 2 PMs in an agile environment, including offshore teams in Poland and QA in India, for 20 APIs encompassing the central CMS data repository, authentication/authorization, geo-gating, feed generation, social media distribution, payments, analytics, video streaming/transcoding, and sports statistics aggregation. • Spearheaded API scoping, development, and implementation in collaboration with the CTO & development team leads for a VMS backend that serves 20 million customers in Latin America.• Maintained the legacy frontend CMS and monolithic API, while implementing plans to migrate clients to the newly developed service oriented architecture in coordination with Marketing and Sales.• Led and managed multiple API integrations for a Fortune 100 media conglomerate, which uses these services to power their VOD CMS and provide their respective clients with content.• Introduced and led development of automation tools to improve the developer experience, managerial efficiency, service reliability, and frequency of product delivery from monthly to weekly releases.• Scoped project roadmaps based on internal and external stakeholder requirements while also assisting in drafting RFPs. Proactively engage and communicate with managers and developers on a regular basis.• Performed HR/recruiting duties including creating job descriptions, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and hiring/training new managers.
