Reduced un-reconciled expense backlog from $1,250,000 to $25,000 - after a merger we were using a program and procedure which could not keep up with the volume. I learned the programming language it was written in and re-wrote the program as well as revamped the process which reduced the backlog. Run time for the program was reduced from 172 hours to process a week's expense reports to 1 hour per week and reduced staff required to process the expense reports from five to three. Also managed 10 remote site check printers and staff as well as introduced blank check stock secure printing.
