💼 Past Experience

David Laycock has a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Leeds. He has worked in the marketing and advertising industry for over 10 years, most recently as a data entry operator, financial system specialist and head of financial management services at Barclays.Initially, David Laycock worked in a team at Barclays where he was responsible for all aspects of the business from data entry to financial reporting. He then moved to the role of head of financial management services, where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the financial team.During his time at Barclays, David Laycock developed a number of new systems and innovations which saw the company achieve significant growth. His most notable achievement was developing the Barclays Financial Modeling system which was instrumental in helping Barclays achieve an record £11billion in turnover within just three years.In January 2010, David Laycock left Barclays to start his own company, EweMove Sales & Lettings. At EweMove, David Laycock founded and presided over a Multi-vested Franchise which has since been sold for over £750million. David Laycock is also the MD and Co-founder of National Property Group which was sold for £1.5billion in February 2017.David Laycock is now the Head of Customer Service, UK Bank (Retail & Commercial). He has over 10 years of experience working in customer service and enjoys working with ambitious entrepreneurs who are looking to achieve their potential. David Laycock holds a B.S. from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in biochemical engineering. Laycock is a chemical engineer by training, but has also worked as a research chemist and product development engineer. In his prior work, he has been involved in the development of novel materials and technologies, as well as mixed-carbon synthesis and heterogeneous catalysis. Laycock is highly experienced in working in teams, and has a deep understanding of how to allocate resources and meet deadlines.
