Software Engineering Intern @ Performed full stack development for Redfin. Specially worked on the listing detail pages of the website. This started with tracking user behavior on the pages and from that data, tweaked the pages accordingly as a way to increase user engagement to our website. Also introduced new features to the mobile web version of the page. This included experimenting with different ways of displaying information to the user as a way to improve the mobile experience. Additional changes included making the mobile web experience more alike to that found on the native app in hopes of increasing conversion rates. From May 2015 to August 2015 (4 months) San Francisco Bay AreaPower Management Unit Team Intern @ Performed hardware benchmarks on mobile phones to check for any faults or bugs that may have been introduced due to ongoing development. Quality is determined by the phone's power consumption along with the stability of the phone during these benchmarks. These tests served to help identify and isolate any unwarranted issues that arise. Further collaboration with respective hardware and software development teams was carried out to assist in the debugging of these issues. From May 2013 to July 2014 (1 year 3 months) Residential Network Consultant @ Assisted residents of UC Irvine, including undergraduates, graduate students, and professors, with troubleshooting and fixing Internet connectivity issues. Troubleshooting is performed via phone, email, or in person. All platforms (Windows, Mac OSX, Linux) and all devices (laptops, desktops, routers, phones, tablets, etc.) supported. Maintenance on physical hardware (ethernet ports) in residence is also performed if warranted. From April 2013 to June 2014 (1 year 3 months) Information & Computer Science Python Lab Tutor @ Attended lab sessions and addressed any questions or problems that students may have as they progress through their python programming assignments. Provided one-on-one support to students who were struggling with the course work. Kept the professor informed on how well the students were performing and brought to attention any issues that arose via weekly meetings. From January 2013 to March 2013 (3 months) iOS Software Developer Intern @ Designed and developed several iOS applications targeted towards integrating existing company products with iOS devices.With the use of Wifi and Bluetooth technologies, these iOS applications are able to wirelessly transmit and receive data from electrical components installed on mass transit vehicles. Data from a vehicle is then displayed in a vibrant interface allowing shop mechanics to easily detect and diagnose any issues present within the vehicle. From June 2012 to September 2012 (4 months)
