David Kolb spent his early years in the Peoria, Illinois area. He graduated summa cum laude from Northern Illinois University in 1985 with a degree in Accounting. Kolb begins his career in 1983 as an account representative with a local accounting firm in Peoria. After two years, Kolb joins KPMG in London, England as an international executive services (IES) manager. Kolb oversees KPMG's managerate in Europe and the Americas. During his time at KPMG, Kolb becomes responsible for a broad range of services including payroll, tax advice, preparation, foreign tax and income tax, corporate law, and tax accounting. In his later years, Kolb begins work on new areas including relocation services, international tax, and CPE compliance. Kolb moves to Geneva, Switzerland in 2000 as the organization's president. There, he oversees the success of Hemisphere Tax Services, LLC, a business that provides professional services to high net worth individuals and businesses worldwide. During his time at Hemisphere, Kolb becomes nationally known for his work in the area of international tax, relocation services, and CPE compliance. In total, Kolb has spent more than fifteen years working in the accounting and professional services branches of the economy. Kolb is currently a Mobility Tax Services Consultant with the expatriate, foreign national and interstate tax services industry.
