David is a General Partner with August Capital (www.augustcap.com) and the creator and Executive Producer of The Lobby Conference (www.thelobbyconference.com). He invests broadly in information technology companies, with a focus on consumer facing software and services, enterprise applications and infrastructure software. He is the author of the first Venture Capital blog, VentureBlog (www.ventureblog.com) and first Venture Capital podcast, VentureCast. Prior to joining August Capital, David was an intellectual property and corporate attorney at Venture Law Group, Cravath Swaine & Moore, and Perkins Coie LLP. David teaches business and law at Harvard Law School and has taught at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and Stanford Law School.
