• L&D Strategy / Management Development – Drive the L&D strategy, in line with the integrated business plan of the Retail and Consumer business. Developed an end to end “Career Ladder” covering all levels of management.
• Management of Diverse L&D Team – Built and developed a number of teams to deliver the L&D strategy across the business, including teams with direct line responsibility, matrix management and virtual teams.
• Employee Engagement / Behavioural Change – Lead and deliver a programme to deliver significant Employee Engagement. Realised significant ROI, resulting in reduced absenteeism, improved levels of retention, and a continuous increase in engagement levels measured against the Employee Opinion Survey. Achievements were recognised both internally and externally (winner of a National Training Award - 2006/07).
• Succession Planning / HIPO Development - Designed and implemented programmes, including development / assessment centres to identify and develop High Potential’s.
• Graduate Development – Set up a programme to select, recruit and train new graduates. Established a cross business steering group. This model was subsequently adopted by DHL and delivered across the EMEA region.
• Management / Leadership Competencies – Worked across the business to develop a three tier competency framework, covering all levels of management. Additionally, developed a series of competency based assessment / development centres.
• ILM Registered Centre - Set up an ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) accredited centre to deliver in house management qualifications.
