Since he began his musical career in the early 1990s, Birtwistle has been steadily working his way up the musical ladder. In 1991, he became a regular collaborator on the score for the feature-length film "Annie", scoring the film's cues and mixing the mixing and mixing tracks on the soundtrack. With "Annie", he also became a member of the London-based production team that directed the film. Afterward, he began working as a freelance composer andothrer. In 1995, he composed the score for the feature-length animated film "Fiesta". The film was generally well-received and put Birtwistle in high demand for future projects, which he duly accepted. Further projects followed, with the title track for the 1995 animated film "The Lord of the Rings" soundtrack and the theme song for the re-release of "Annie" in 1998. In 2001, he also composed the score for the feature-length live-action film "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" and the score for the feature-length live-action film "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers". Since then, Birtwistle has composed scores for the stage and screen, most notably the Academy Award-nominated film "The Master", the world-premiere production of "Rocky Horror Picture Show" at the Victoria and Albert Museum, "The Help" and "adventures of Tintin", among many others. His latest work is the world-premiere production of "The London Sessions" at the Adelphi Theatre in London.Birtwistle is a highly qualified man, having achieved high level results in education and music. He has a vast experience in both the film and stage industries, and is now well-known and respected both within and outside of the music industry. Birtwistle is a highly experienced and credentialed composer.
