Q: What inspired you to pursue a career in communications?A: I grew up in a small town in County Limerick, Ireland and always had an interest in the world around me. After finishing high school and moving to London, I started my C3 degree in Broadcast Journalism at University of East London, and then started working as an advertising copywriter. After four years of working in the industry, I moved to Ireland and started my career as an Online Strategy and Community Manager for Irish Events, Film, Television, Theatre and Tourism. I then moved to Riverdance - Abhann Productions Limited as a Social Media Strategist, while also working as a Community Manager at WorldIrish.com. Then, I started working as a Communications Manager at Boards.ie Ltd. for a few years before setting my sights on becoming a Publisher for my own company. I then started working as a Communications Editor and optimiser at online companies, before coming to work at Vodafone Live! Ireland as a Content Editor for Volania Six S.L. | Casino.com and then work as a Senior Communications Editor at Boo.com | Web Reservations Intl. When I was made a Senior Communications Editor at Pigsback.com, it was a dream come true. I am now the Senior Communications Editor at Pigsback.com. I have worked in both the UK and Ireland, and have always found it has been a great pleasure to work in both countries. I feel that my skills as a Communicator and Marketing Assistant make me the ideal person to be a corporate Communications Manager.
