Most recently this has involved working in an Agile Scrum team to build a cloud based SaaS messaging hub for government use. Duties have included enhancing the front end UI using the Play framework with Scala and increasing the resilience of a back end event processor using Akka.
Prior to this I was the lead developer on an internal database replacement project, successfully leading a team to deliver an ASP.NET solution to replace an aging business critical Access system. This also involved overseeing the development and execution of an SSIS ETL script to sanitise and restructure the existing data.
Other projects have involved creating an EU tender opportunity tracking tool, creating an innovative jQuery Mobile web app for a conference and designing sales collateral for the company's Agile by Default initiative.
